What is cloud computing? Cloud computing is a model for delivering computing resources and services over the internet on-demand. It allows individuals and businesses to access a wide range of computing resources, such as storage, processing power, databases, applications, and more, without the need to invest in and manage the underlying physical infrastructure. At its core, cloud computing is based on the concept of virtualization, which involves creating virtual instances of computing resources. These virtual instances are then hosted on a network of interconnected servers, often referred to as the cloud infrastructure. The cloud infrastructure is typically maintained and managed by a cloud service provider (CSP), such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
